This document explains the statutory right of withdrawal available to consumers purchasing eligible products online from Bonechoir within the European Union.
It should be read together with our Returns & Refunds Policy and Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in this document limits any mandatory consumer right available under applicable European Union or national consumer-protection law.

02 Your right to withdraw
If you are a consumer located in the European Union and you purchase an eligible product online from Bonechoir, you generally have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.
The right of withdrawal is sometimes referred to as the:
- cooling-off right;
- cancellation right; or
- 14-day return right.
You do not need to prove that the product is defective in order to exercise this statutory right.
03 When the 14-day period starts
For a normal order containing goods, the withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, acquires physical possession of the goods.
Multiple products delivered separately
If you purchase several products in a single order and those products are delivered separately, the withdrawal period generally begins when you or your designated recipient receives the last product from that order, where required by applicable law.
Products delivered in several lots or pieces
Where a product is delivered in several separate lots or pieces, the withdrawal period generally begins when the final lot or piece is received.
04 Withdrawal before delivery
You do not need to wait until an order has been delivered before informing us that you wish to withdraw.
Where applicable, you may exercise your right of withdrawal before delivery.
However, Bonechoir products may enter production or fulfillment shortly after an order is placed.
If production or shipping has already begun, it may no longer be operationally possible to stop the parcel.
In that situation, you may still need to receive and return the goods according to the instructions provided by Bonechoir.
Your statutory withdrawal right is not removed merely because fulfillment has already begun.
05 How to exercise your right
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must communicate a clear and unequivocal decision to withdraw from the contract before the applicable withdrawal period expires.
You may do this through Bonechoir's electronic withdrawal function available through:
or by contacting us at:
You may use the Model Withdrawal Form included at the end of this document, but use of that form is not mandatory.
It is sufficient that your communication clearly identifies the order and states that you wish to withdraw from the purchase.
06 Electronic withdrawal function
For eligible online purchases by EU consumers, Bonechoir provides an electronic means of exercising the right of withdrawal through the Website.
The electronic withdrawal process may require you to provide or confirm information including:
- your name;
- order number or other contract identifier;
- email address;
- product or products concerned; and
- the electronic means by which withdrawal confirmation should be sent.
The process will include a confirmation step before the withdrawal request is submitted.
After submission, Bonechoir will send an acknowledgement of the withdrawal request on a durable medium, normally by email, without undue delay.
The acknowledgement may include:
- the contents of the withdrawal request;
- submission date; and
- submission time.
A withdrawal submitted through the electronic function before the deadline expires is considered submitted within the withdrawal period.
07 Email withdrawal
You may also exercise your right by emailing:
Your email should preferably include:
- your full name;
- order number;
- email address associated with the order;
- product or products concerned; and
- a clear statement such as:
"I hereby withdraw from my purchase of the products identified in this message."
You are not required to explain why you are withdrawing.
08 Returning the goods
After informing Bonechoir that you are withdrawing from the purchase, you must return the relevant goods without undue delay.
For EU consumers, the goods must generally be sent back no later than 14 days from the day on which you informed us of your decision to withdraw.
The deadline is met if you dispatch the goods before the 14-day return period expires.
09 Do not return products without instructions
Bonechoir uses distributed manufacturing and fulfillment facilities.
Do not send returns to our registered Bucharest office, to Printful, to the sender address printed on your parcel, or to another production facility unless Bonechoir specifically instructs you to do so.
After receiving your withdrawal request, we will provide the relevant return instructions and designated return destination where a physical return is required.
Using an incorrect return address may result in:
- delay;
- additional expense;
- refusal of the parcel;
- difficulty identifying the return; or
- loss of the parcel.
Please retain proof of dispatch.
10 Cost of return shipping
For a normal statutory withdrawal where the product is not defective, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods to Bonechoir, unless applicable law requires otherwise or Bonechoir expressly agrees to cover that cost.
Bonechoir does not normally provide a prepaid return label for:
- change-of-mind returns;
- wrong-size purchases;
- wrong-color selections;
- unwanted products; or
- other statutory withdrawals where Bonechoir supplied the product correctly.
This is different from a defective or incorrectly fulfilled product, which is handled under our Returns & Refunds Policy and applicable statutory conformity rights.
11 Wrong size or change of mind
The EU right of withdrawal may apply even where:
- you selected the wrong size;
- the product does not fit as expected;
- you changed your mind;
- you prefer another color;
- you prefer another design; or
- you simply no longer want the product.
However, Bonechoir does not provide free size exchanges or free change-of-mind return shipping.
If you wish to purchase another size or product, you should normally:
- exercise your withdrawal right for the eligible original purchase;
- return the original product according to our instructions; and
- place a separate new order.
Availability of another size, color, or limited Drop product is not guaranteed.
12 Condition of returned goods
The right of withdrawal allows you to inspect a product in a manner reasonably necessary to establish its:
- nature;
- characteristics; and
- functioning.
You may therefore inspect and try on apparel in a manner comparable to what would normally be permitted in a physical retail store.
However, you may be responsible for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary for that inspection.
13 Diminished value
Where permitted by applicable law, Bonechoir may deduct from the refund an amount corresponding to the actual diminished value of a returned product caused by excessive handling.
Examples may include:
- wearing apparel beyond a reasonable fitting;
- washing or laundering;
- drying;
- ironing;
- altering or tailoring;
- staining;
- stretching or deforming;
- damaging fabric or print;
- exposing the item to smoke or strong odors;
- makeup or cosmetic stains;
- deodorant marks;
- food or liquid contamination;
- excessive pet hair;
- removing or damaging labels where this materially reduces value;
- applying or using a sticker;
- peeling or damaging sticker material; or
- otherwise using the product beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it.
Any deduction will reflect the actual reduction in value.
It will not be applied merely as a penalty for exercising the right of withdrawal.
In cases of substantial use or damage, the product's value may be reduced significantly.
14 Stickers
Standard Bonechoir stickers are not automatically excluded from the right of withdrawal.
However, a sticker that has been:
- applied;
- adhered to a surface;
- peeled;
- materially used;
- damaged; or
- altered
may suffer significant diminished value.
Where permitted by law, that diminished value may be deducted from the refund.
15 Made-to-order products
Many Bonechoir products are printed or manufactured after a customer submits an order.
A standard Bonechoir product is not automatically excluded from the EU right of withdrawal merely because it is produced after the order is placed.
For example, a standard Bonechoir T-shirt featuring a pre-existing Bonechoir design is not treated as individually personalized solely because it was printed after purchase.
16 Personalized or custom products
The statutory right of withdrawal may not apply to goods that are:
- made according to the customer's individual specifications; or
- clearly personalized for that customer,
where the applicable legal requirements for that exception are satisfied.
For example, this may apply if Bonechoir later offers products customized with:
- a customer's name;
- personalized text;
- customer-uploaded artwork;
- a personal photograph;
- custom measurements;
- individualized specifications; or
- another customer-specific design element.
Any material withdrawal exclusion applying to such a product will be communicated before purchase.
17 Other legal exceptions
The EU right of withdrawal does not apply to certain categories of contracts or products established by law.
Some statutory exceptions may include:
- clearly personalized goods;
- goods made to consumer specifications;
- certain sealed goods that cannot appropriately be returned for health or hygiene reasons after being unsealed;
- certain rapidly perishable goods;
- certain digital content after performance has begun with the legally required consent and acknowledgement;
- certain services that have been fully performed under the conditions established by law; and
- other legally exempt categories.
Bonechoir will only rely on an exemption where the requirements of applicable law are actually satisfied.
18 Effect of withdrawal
If you validly withdraw from an eligible purchase, Bonechoir will reimburse the payments that applicable law requires us to reimburse.
This generally includes:
- the amount paid for the eligible returned goods; and
- where applicable, the cost of the least expensive standard outbound delivery method offered by Bonechoir for that order.
19 Express or premium shipping costs
If you chose a shipping method that was more expensive than the least expensive standard shipping method offered by Bonechoir, we are not required to refund the additional premium amount where applicable law permits this.
For example:
Standard delivery: €5
Express delivery selected by customer: €15
The statutory delivery-cost refund may be limited to €5 rather than €15.
20 Return shipping is not included
The refund of eligible original standard outbound shipping should not be confused with the cost of sending the product back to Bonechoir.
For change-of-mind statutory withdrawals:
the direct return shipping cost is paid by the customer, as described in this document.
21 Partial withdrawal
You may withdraw from only some eligible products in an order where applicable.
For example, if you ordered:
- 2 T-shirts;
- 1 hoodie; and
- 1 sticker,
you may choose to withdraw only from one eligible T-shirt.
Where only part of an order is returned, treatment of original delivery costs will be determined according to applicable law and whether those delivery costs would have been incurred regardless of the returned product.
22 Discounted and bundled products
Where a product was purchased:
- at a discount;
- using a promotional code;
- as part of a multi-buy;
- as part of a bundle; or
- through another promotional offer,
the refund for that product is calculated based on the actual amount attributable to the product in the transaction, not its undiscounted retail price.
For example, a product purchased effectively for €29.00 as part of a promotion does not generate a €34.99 refund simply because €34.99 was its ordinary standalone price.
Any calculation will remain subject to mandatory consumer law.
23 Refund method
Unless you expressly agree otherwise and applicable law permits it, refunds following a statutory withdrawal will be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction.
For example, a purchase paid by card will generally be refunded to the original payment method.
Bonechoir will not charge an additional fee merely for issuing the statutory refund.
Payment providers or banks may require additional time to display the refunded amount after Bonechoir has processed it.
24 Refund deadline
Where a valid withdrawal applies, Bonechoir will process the required reimbursement without undue delay and no later than 14 days after being informed of your decision to withdraw, subject to the lawful withholding rule described below.
25 When we may withhold the refund
For contracts involving goods, Bonechoir may withhold reimbursement until:
- we have received the returned goods; or
- you provide adequate evidence that the goods have been sent back,
whichever occurs first, where permitted by applicable law.
For this reason, we strongly recommend keeping:
- postal receipt;
- courier receipt;
- tracking number; or
- other reliable proof of dispatch.
26 Defective or incorrect goods
The EU right of withdrawal is separate from your rights relating to products that are:
- defective;
- damaged;
- misprinted;
- incorrectly supplied; or
- otherwise non-conforming.
If Bonechoir supplied a defective or incorrect product, please follow our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Statutory conformity and guarantee rights may provide remedies beyond the 14-day withdrawal period.
27 Refusing delivery is not enough
Simply:
- refusing a parcel;
- ignoring a carrier;
- failing to collect a parcel; or
- allowing a parcel to be returned automatically
does not necessarily constitute a clear exercise of the statutory right of withdrawal.
If you wish to withdraw, please communicate that decision clearly using:
- Bonechoir's electronic withdrawal function; or
- hello@bonechoir.com.
28 Return risk and proof of dispatch
When you return a product, please package it appropriately to prevent avoidable damage during transit.
We recommend using a return method that provides proof of dispatch.
Where reasonable for the value of the goods, tracked return shipping is recommended.
If a return shipment is lost, proof of timely dispatch may be important in determining your entitlement to reimbursement.
29 Business customers
The statutory EU consumer right of withdrawal described in this document applies to consumers.
It does not generally apply in the same way to purchases made purely for business, trade, craft, or professional purposes.
If you purchase Bonechoir products as a business customer, your rights are governed by the applicable contract, our Terms & Conditions, and relevant law.
30 Extension where withdrawal information is not provided
European consumer law may extend the withdrawal period where a trader fails to provide legally required information about the right of withdrawal.
Bonechoir therefore provides this document and the related Returns & Refunds Policy as part of our consumer information.
Nothing in this document is intended to reduce any extended withdrawal right that applies by mandatory law.
31 Model Withdrawal Form
